Dear Alliance Members,
Annual Session 2009: "Honor The Past and Embrace the Future"
In May, Annual Session in Sacramento brought the CMA Alliance membership together to "Honor the Past and Embrace the Future." At the conference, we launched our 80th year celebration.
Historian, and Past CMAA President, Tricia Hunstock, prepared a display of some of the historical momentos she has discovered while looking in attics, garages and storage areas at local medical societies all over the state.
A panel of past CMAA presidents, including Jackie Gelderman, Frances Hart, Ann Hansen and Peg Gobar Wilson, gave insight into the days when they were in leadership positions and we were still called the "Auxiliary."
All former and current CMAA Foundation Board members were recognized for the 20 successful years of providing funding for Auxiliary/Alliance health projects in California.
We acknowledged that the Alliance continues to provide what our founders valued most; support for the family of medicine, legislative advocacy and the promotion of quality health in our communities.
Best Wishes,
Debbi
