


Judy Yecies has been chosen as the dedicated county member for the San Joaquin County Medical Society Alliance. Judy has shown extraordinary dedication to the Alliance and the medical community.
Arriving in Stockton, Judy immediately became involved with the Medical Alliance as well as other community groups. She has held many rolls in the Alliance. She has held several board positions, chaired various committees, and hosted many events. She has served as Board Member at Large, Parliamentarian, Second Vice-President of Ways and Means, President-Elect, President and served on the Scholarship Committee.
Being an active member of the Temple Israel community, she served as president of the Sisterhood, secretary of the board, chaired the food fair, chaired the bakery and chaired the bakery workshop. She has often brought and hosted speakers for Temple Israel events. Judy’s involvement has also included her three children’s activities and she with her husband served as co-presidents of Mable Baron Elementary School.
While working as a lawyer for many years in private practice, Judy often did pro bono work. She occasionally served as a judge protemp in small claims court or traffic court. After closing her private practice, she taught business law for seven years at the University of Pacific. She served none years as a valued member of the board of the Children’s Home, serving as secretary and legal advisor. She helped Planned Parenthood as legal advisor. She has also served on the board of the Food Bank.
Judy did all this while raising three beautiful talented children. Judy continues to be involved in their lives and those of their families. She is a devoted grandmother. In her spare time, Judy travels with husband, Jerry, participates in a University Book Club and in our Alliance gourmet group.
Judy deserves recognition not only for all she has done for the Alliance and for our community, but also for the generous, thoughtful, and gracious way in which she has given.
