participation increased overall by 40%.

This increase of membership will provide physicians and the medical family better access to the elected legislators that determine health policy in the state.
This year CALPAC will be focusing on raising dollars and to begin meeting and researching 2010 candidates. There will be approximately 30 open seats. CALPAC staff will provide the names of all Alliance CALPAC members to their component/county medical association executive directors. We hope that the Execs. will notify you of upcoming meetings that their counties set up with local legislators. Please contact your Medical Association President as well as the county Exec. of your willingness to become involved. This will allow you to become part of the process and to learn how your CALPAC contribution helps the cause of medicine and physician practice.
CALPAC membership is based on a fiscal year starting November 1 and ending October 30. Attached is the 2009 membership application. Please wait to send in your checks to the CALPAC office in Sacramento after November 1st . Or you can send them to: Suzanne Jackson, 15984 Grandview Ave, Monte Sereno, CA 95030 . I can also keep track of the memberships when the checks come directly to me.
I will again be keeping a tally of all Alliance memberships for next years recognition awards at the Fall Leadership meeting.
