Tea at the Tollhouse ... Make reservations for an exciting annual Fall Leadership Conference, September 19-21 in Los Gatos. Read more>
Greetings from your 2008-09 California Medical Association Alliance board. "Changes…Keeping the Alliance Relevant in the 21st Century" is our theme for the year that we launched the first weekend in May in Sacramento at our Annual Session meeting.
We had a very productive meeting which included a lovely
installation performed by past AMAA and CMAA president, Ann Hansen and current AMAA president Dianne Fenyk. We were honored to be installed by such dynamic Alliance leaders.
Your Alliance leaders have made the commitment to make some needed changes in our organization in order to keep us relevant in today's ever-changing climate. A private consultant has been hired to lead us in strategic planning and we are currently developing our mission and vision statements. Look for updates on our strategic planning process here on the web throughout the year.
Our emphasis this year is to connect regularly with the counties. We are a large state and are fortunate to have Alliances from the top to the bottom. Your leaders will be traveling to each county throughout the year bringing training materials and sharing ideas. Invite us to attend your meetings and events. We will be there!
Please feel free to contact me at any time and I am honored to be serving as your president this year.
Warm Wishes,
Debbi Ricks, President
